Plath, Veronica A. (24 Apr. 1919 – 29 June 1993)

Services for Mrs. Veronica A. Plath, 74, of 515 E. Becker Road, who died at 4:30 p.m. Tues. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Fri. at St. John’s Catholic Church.

The Rev. Randy E. Olson will officiate. Music will be provided by Helen Brinkmann, organist, and St. John’s Church Funeral Choir.

Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Hewitt. Pallbearers will be Nathan Plath, Tony and David Sutton, Randy Rhodes and Paul and William Weigel.

Visitation will be at Rembs/Kundiner Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today and again Fri. until service time. A St. John’s Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be at 4 p.m. today followed by a parish prayer service at 7 tonight, both at the funeral chapel.

She was born April 24, 1919, in Marshfield, to the late Frank and Clara (Gerl) Weigel, Sr. She attended St. Joseph’s Parochial School in Hewitt. She was married to Norbert W. Plath June 9, 1943, in Las Vegas, Nev., and he died June 6, 1991.

She was a resident of Marshfield her entire life. Prior to her marriage, she was employed at the Marshfield Egg Plant and Roddis Plywood Corp. She had been admitted to the hospital May 9.

She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and its Parish Council of Catholic Women Society.

Survivors include one daughter, Priscilla Reno of Marshfield; one son, Robert of Marshfield; one sister, Mrs. Cora Sutton of Marshfield; one brother, Frank Weigel, Jr., of Marshfield; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
