(5 Aug. 1913 – 2 Nov. 1994) Floyd M. Stoflet, 81, Pittsville, died at 10:25 p.m. Nov. 2, 1994, at Bethel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Arpin, where he had been a patient since July 30, 1994. Services will be at 11 a.m. Sat. at Hansen Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Janet Wolfe of First Presbyterian Church, Arpin, officiating. Music will be provided by Bruce Jensema, organist, and Duane Helgerson, soloist. Burial will be in Arpin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Richard, Todd, Scott, Brian, Tim, David and Ronald Stoflet, Jr. and Thomas, Jacob and Jason Hewuse. Visitation will be from 5-8 tonight at the funeral chapel and again on Sat.until service time. He was born Aug. 5, 1913, in the town of Arpin, to Albert and Emma (Mount) Stoflet. He received his education at Clover Nook School in the town of Arpin. After his education, he helped his parents on their farm. He later moved to the Rockford, Ill., area where he worked for Spielman Farms. He married Marion Welch on March 9, 1937, in the parsonage of the First Presbyterian Church in Arpin. They farmed in the Rhinelander area until 1940. They then farmed in the town of Arpin. After retirement, they moved to Babcock for three years before moving to Marshfield, where they lived until 1993. They then moved to Pittsville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife; four sons, Richard Stoflet of Vesper, Ronald (Alice) Stoflet of Rudolph, Terry (Joanne) Stoflet of Arpin and Dale Stoflet of Nekoosa; one daughter, Lois (Monte) Hewuse of Babcock; four brothers, Hugh Stoflet of Mercer, Norman (Dorothy) Stoflet of Auburndale, Arthur Stoflet of Necedah, Gerald (Betty) Stoflet of Marshfield; two sisters, Ruth Erickson of Wisconsin Rapids and June (Joseph) Cepress of Arpin; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; and two sisters, Gladys Lee and Lorraine Edwards. Memorials may be designated to the family, which will establish a memorial.
