Groskinsky, Edward August (20 Nov. 1916 – 5 Aug. 1994)

Edward August Groskinsky, 77, Auburndale, died at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 5, 1994, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tues. at Hansen Funeral Home. Pastor Terry Schneider will officiate. Internment will be at Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Groskinsky Jr., Gerald Groskinsky, Dale Groskinsky, Henry Schumacher, Leroy Altman and Robert Zieghan.

Visitation will be at Hansen Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Tues..

He was born Nov. 20, 1916 in Bigfoot, Ill. To Albert and Ella (Schuring) Groskinsky. He married Marcella Renner June 25, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvard, Ill.

He was a retired factory worker from Admiral T.V. plant in Harvard, Ill.

He was a lifetime member of Moose Lodge 1289, and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Auburndale.

He is survived by his wife, his daughters, Edith (Tom) Marvin, Harvard, Ill.; Linda (Dan) Beranek, Milladore; Betty (Ward) Malthe, Hancock; his son, Robert (Jeri) Groskinski, Marshfield; two sisters, Betty Crowley, Darlington; and Florence Schumacher, Harvard, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Groskinsky and Raymond Groskinsky, Sr.
