Dr. (27 June 1915 – 1 Jan. 2004) Age: 88 Dr. Edwin H. Schultz, age 88, of Park Falls, died January 1, 2004, in Marshfield. He was born on June 27, 1915 in Auburndale, the son of George and Frieda (Orhmund) Schultz. He graduated from Valparaiso University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University, Chicago, in 1939. He had a general dentistry practice for seven years in Oshkosh, and in Bruce, for 30 years. Dr. Schultz held many offices in various dental associations. He was a charter member of the American Academy of General Dentistry. He held life memberships in the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association and served as a member of the Wisconsin State Dental Ethics Board. He was also a member of Lions International, Kiwanis Club and the Republican Party. Dr. Schultz served in the Army Dental Corps during World War II for four years with the rank of Captain. He served over 50 years as a member of the American Legion. Dr. Schultz had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ladysmith, for many years and most recently was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls. During his life be had been an active member in numerous Missouri Synod Lutheran churches and had held many church offices. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, a brother and Jeane Steinhoff Schultz, wife and mother of his children. Survivors include his wife Else; one son, Steven (Janice) Schultz of Pittsville, two daughters: Deborah (Waddy) McFall of Phoenix, Ariz. and Stephanie Zimmer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandsons: Dr. Forrest Schultz, Canyon Schultz, and Steven Zimmer; one granddaughter, Miranda McFall, and two great grandchildren, Savannah and Summit. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Thur., January 8, at Peace Lutheran Church, 600 Second Avenue N, Park Falls. American Legion Post 272 will conduct military rites. Interment will be at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Peace Lutheran Church. Buchanan Funeral Home of Pittsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
