(16 Dec. 1928 – 3 Mar. 2009) Bernard G. Fisher, 80, of Marshfield died Tues. evening at the House of the Dove under the care of Ministry Home Hospice Services. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Mon., March 9, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Peter Manickam. Suzanne Golden will be the organist along with Sacred Heart Funeral Choir. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitations will be Mon. from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) is assisting the family with the arrangements. Bernard was born in Marshfield on Dec. 16, 1928, to John and Ann (Wittman) Fisher. He attended St. Andrew's School in Rozellville. He was united in marriage to Theresa E. (Voskuhl) Kautzer on May 1, 1976, at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield. Bernard worked at Saint Joseph's Hospital for over 43 years. He retired from the supply and receiving department at the hospital. Bernard was a member of Sacred Heart and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus No. 1799 of Marshfield. Besides his wife, Theresa, he is survived by three stepchildren, Eugene (Patricia) Kautzer of Stratford, Anthony Kautzer of Vian, Okla., and John (Susan) Kautzer of Edwardsville, Ill.; and two stepgrandchildren, Emily and Sam. He is further survived by three brothers, Jerome (Darlene) Fisher of Milwaukee, Gerald (Dorothy) Fisher of Stratford and Clem Fisher of Marshfield; and one sister, Annette (Patrick) Pink of Lake Havasu, Ariz. Bernard is preceded in death by his parents and a stepson, Gerald Kautzer. Memorials may be given to Ministry Home Hospice Care or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
