Kuehmichel, Lorena Viola (28 May 1917 – 25 Feb. 2009)

Lorena V. Kuehmichel, 91, of Marshfield, died Wed., Feb. 25, 2009, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sat. Feb. 28, 2009, at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate with Mary Castner providing music. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Marshfield.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time at the church Sat. The Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home of Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lorena Viola Kuehmichel was born May 28, 1917, in Marshfield, a daughter of Ferdinand and Mary (Berlin) Brandt. She attended and graduated from Marshfield High School.

The former Ms. Brandt was united in holy marriage to Karl Kuehmichel on June 6, 1936, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Mrs. Kuehmichel worked as an assembly line worker at Badger Meter in Milwaukee from where she retired.

Lorena was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed needlepoint, music, cooking, especially for her family at deer camp during deer season, but her greatest joy came from being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Kuehmichel is survived by three grandchildren, Matthew Kuehmichel, France, Patrick (Annie) Kuehmichel, Colgate, and Daniel (Michelle) Kuehmichel, Merton; and two great-grandchildren, Sheldon David Kuehmichel and Ava Michele Kuehmichel; along with other relatives and friends.

Her parents, loving husband, Karl, in 2002; and son David in 2004; predecease Lorena.
