Obit: Cravillion, Gordon Joseph (1915 – 2009)
----Surnames: Cravillion, Aurie, Ward, Kuehl ----Source: Marshfield News Herald, Marshfield, Wood Co., WI, Sat. 24 Jan. 2009 Cravillion, Gordon Joseph (1 Jan. 1915 – 22 Jan. 2009) Gordon Joseph Cravillion, 94, of Marshfield, died Thur., Jan. 22, 2009, at Miller Alternative Care with his family by his side. A memorial service will be held at noon Tues., Jan. 27, 2009, at Faith Fellowship Church, Marshfield. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be held at a later date in Lake View Mausoleum and Memorial Park in Oshkosh. The Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements. Mr. Cravillion was born Jan. 1, 1915, in Green Bay, the son of Joseph and Ursula (Aurie) Cravillion. Gordon was very proud of the fact that he obtained his GED late in life. Gordon was united in marriage to the former June Ward. Mr. Cravillion owned and operated Gordon's Upholstery Service in Oshkosh. Mr. Cravillion enjoyed playing cards, exercising, tending his garden, volunteering at the Marshfield Area Respite Care Center, but especially spending time with his family. Gordon is lovingly survived by his children, Penny (Bob) Kuehl, Waukesha; Russell (Dawn) Cravillion, Redgranite; Gary (Lois) Cravillion, Green Bay; and Jeffrey (Julie) Cravillion, Marshfield; three sisters, Bernice, Eleanore, and Betty Mae; sister-in-law Delores; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He will truly be missed. Gordon is preceded in death by his wife, June; one son, Charles Cravillion; two brothers, Howard and Joseph (Dorie), a sister, Vernalda (Russ); brother-in-law Norm; as well as Gordon's parents. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are encouraged to do so in Gordon's name to the Marshfield Area Respite Care Center. |
