Bakerville.

E, E. Royce has a crew of carpenters at work making the frame for his new barn.

Peter R. Ebbe shipped some lumber out of his yard last week, destined for Grand Rapids.

A traveling show have pitched their tents on H. Leonhardt's farm and have entertained crowds of people there every evening this week.

The old. wooden bridge across West Branch near Henry Ebbe's has disappeared, and operations has been begun to build a new steel structure there.

Miss Anna and Louis Ebbe from Waupaca have been up here some time visiting their grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis H. Ebbe, and also their uncle and aunts.

Peter Heckel, road commissioner, has just made a piece of new turnpike road on the county line between Wood and Marathon counties on the north side of section 5.

Mrs. Brettschneider of Jackson, Washington county, died there last Saturday night, and Mr. John Sphuler, who is a brother of the deceased went there last Monday to attend the funeral.

Cole's Carboli soap is not carbolic soap. It is a purely vegetable, healing soap for the tenderest skins. If you use it once you will use it

Miss Clara Mueller of Marshfield commenced teaching school in Dist. No. 1, last Monday, the school in Dist. No. 6, commences Sept. 1st and it is reported that most of the other schools in town will commence next week.
