Village of Auburndale.

Milladore failed to show up for the ball game.

Miss Laura Ecke is visiting relatives at Fond du Lac.

George Ferge was a Marshfield visitor Saturday evening.

We hear that wedding bells will ring again. Perhaps Doc can explain.

There will be a dance at Koller's hall Sept. 8th, conducted by the Woodmen.

Among those who went to Chicago Sunday were Florence and Frank Lachner.

We wish to correct an item in last weeks paper. School does not begin the 5th, but the 12 of September.

With September come thots [sic] of winter and many a mother thinks with dread of the weary, anxious nights when baby has the croup. This is unnecessary. Keep a bottle of Cole's Cough Cure bandy and you will have no trouble. It is the best remedy in the world for croup and colds, Try it. 25and50c. Guaranteed by R. J. Strauss.

An interesting game of ball was played here Sunday between the Junior nine of Auburndale and the second nine of Stratford. Auburndale played good ball and won the game. Home runs were a specialty. But for the good work of Wm. Schill Stratford would have run in more scores. Schill's would be home run and double plays became basis for bets. The score, Auburndale 30, and Stratford 8.
