Sparks, Ruthann (7 Feb. 1946 – 18 Nov. 2008)

HOWARD -- Ruthann Sparks, 62, village of Howard, passed away unexpectedly Tues., Nov. 18, 2008. She was born Feb. 7, 1946, in Marshfield, to John and Irene (Tersinski) Dvorak and graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1964. Ruthann married William Sparks on July 3, 1982, and they remarried Aug. 3, 1990. She was a resident of Howard the past 18 years and was employed as a mortgage officer at Associated Bank retiring in February 2005.

Ruthann was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and volunteered at Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She loved her grandchildren and they were the pride of her life.

Survivors include her loving husband, Bill; only child, Wendy (Lee) LaMeer and their twin boys, William and Kody, Kansasville; sisters, Irene (Guy) Boucher, Marshfield, Mary Ann (Norm) Luepke, Marshfield, Janice (Ron) Kromanacher, Spencer; brother, John (Diane) Dvorak, Marshfield; mother-in-law, Margaret Cleveland, White Lake; sister-in-law, Tara Lucas (special friend, John Palmbach), De Pere. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and beloved dogs, Binky and Tasha.

Ruthann was preceded in death by her parents and a pet dog, Poco.

A Celebration of Her Life with a memorial visitation will be held at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay, today from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Fri. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., Howard, from 10 a.m. to the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Fri. at the church with the Rev. John Bergstadt officiating. A memorial fund has been established in Ruthann's name at the funeral home.
