Joshua J. Edwards, 9, of Marshfield, died Sat. Nov. 22, 2008, as the result of an airplane accident.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Sat. Nov. 29, 2008, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield.

Visitations will be from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Fri. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, and again Sat. at the church from 9 a.m., until service time.

Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) of Marshfield is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Joshua J. Edwards, 9, of Marshfield, died Sat. Nov. 22, 2008, as the result of an airplane accident.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Sat. Nov. 29, 2008, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield with the Rev. Don Meuret officiating. Tom Zimmerman will provide the music for the services along with Amanda Kraus as choir director.

Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with Brad Nystrom, Adam Kurzynski, Cliff Watson, Jeff Barth, Joe Monear and Mike Wittry serving as pallbearers.

Visitations will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fri., Nov. 28, 2008, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and again from 9 a.m. until service time Sat. at the church. There will be a Knights of Columbus rosary service at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Joshua was born March 19, 1999, to James F. Edwards III and Janelle L. (Monear) Edwards in Marshfield.

Josh was a fourth-grade student at Our Lady of Peace school. He loved sports. You could find him playing football, soccer and other sports in his backyard with his brothers and friends. He shared his family's passion for hockey. Josh played in the Marshfield Youth Hockey Association and recently made the Green Bay Junior Gamblers team.

Josh had a grin that stretched from ear to ear. You could hear him singing along with his favorite music, and laughing out loud with his friends. He brought great joy to his family, friends, teachers and classmates. He will never be forgotten.

Joshua is survived by his mother, Janelle and two brothers, Johnathan and Justin, all of Marshfield; paternal grandparents, James and Joyce Edwards of Mosinee; maternal grandparents, Robert Monear of Plover and Sharon Monear of Wausau; maternal great-grandmother, Eileen Monear of Stevens Point.

He was preceded in death by his father James F. Edwards III; brother James F. Edwards IV; and maternal great-grandfather.

The family has requested that any memorial donations be made to the Marshfield Area Catholic Schools Tuition Assistance Funds.
