Colby will have two banks in the near future. The new bank was organized last week with ninety stockholders. The bank will be called the Farmers and Merchants bank. The capital stock is $25,000.

Monroe Salisbury is always an interesting star. This fact will be proven at the Trio theater on Friday when he appears here in "The Light of Victory." Episode 15 of the ''Silent Mystery" will also be shown.

Mrs. M. E. Pfeifer accompanied by her daughter, Miss Kathleen, and son Russell, left Friday for Waupaca where they will spend the coming month. They will occupy the Frank Upham cottage while there.

Billy Rhodes in "The Lamb and the ion" is the feature for the Trio on Sunday. A Hearst International News and a Christie comedy, together with Tad's Cartoons and music by the Red Arrow orchestra will conclude a day's fun.

"The Greatest Think in LIfe" is a wonderful photoplay, both in quality and acting. Dainty Lillian Gish and Robert Harron have the leading roles and the support is excellent in every way. This picture will be shown at he Trio Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Lundgren and family are at Laona on the lakes enjoying a two weeks' outing.  Mr. Lundgren autoed to this city over the week-end to help with the rush at his lace of business during this time.  He returned to Laona Sunday.

The Misses Elsabea Hipke, Olive Lange, Marjorie Sexton, Lynette Mculloch, Helen Heaton, Lorha Scharmann, all of this city, and Miss Ruth Tufts of Withee, are at the Waupaca lakes enjoying a week's outing.

Mr. and Mrs, William Hahn accompanied by their daughter and son, Florence and Norman and Miss Charlotte Hazelton, spent the past week on an outing on Silver Lake. The trip coming and going was made by auto.

William Wenzel, one of this city's most prominent residents, has sold his property interests here, and together with his family have moved to Medford. They left Sunday.  Mr., Wenzel has purchased a farm on the outskirts of the city and will live in a modern house recently completed on the farm he acquired. His son Harry has purchased a meat market there and will conduct an up-to-date market for the citizens of that city.

Everything at the Fair grounds in the line of exhibition buildings and the like are all being renovated and repaired for the coming fair in September. Extensive repairs were made during the past week to the judges stand and all of the other buildings are being given a coat of paint and otherwise being fixed up. Visitors to the fair this "year will be surprised to see the number of the improvements being made at the present time.

The Misses Helen, Katherine and Marie Gross, who have spent the past year in South Dakota touching are spending a week in.the city the guests of their parents, Mr. and '.Mrs. Nicholas Gross. All of the young women will again teach in South Dakota, Miss Marie will teach in the junior high school at Brookings, Catherine at Milbank and Helen at Doland.

The Brotherhood of Railway Clerks, Eau Claire lodge No. 165, will open up with a ball game in the morning between the Marshfield clerks of the lodge and the visitors from Eau Claire. In the afternoon entertainment of every sort will be provided for all and it is predicted that the day's fun will be long remembered by all those in attendance. Full details will be announced later.
