John Werner was a Marshfield visitor last Thursday.

 

Bell Campbell of Nekoosa is a guest of her friend Mrs.

 Garnet Balch this week.

 

Mrs. W. G. Hinman of Marshfield, spent Sunday forenoon at the Richardson home.

 

Mrs. F. F. Damon of Wausau came Saturday to spend a few days with relatives.

 

Dr. Weickel formerly our dentist is now located at Wood Lawn, Fond du Lac county.

 

Wm. Albright who has been writing up insurance for some time left last Friday for his home at Sparta.

 

Mrs. Willis of Seymour will spend Thanksgiving with her daughter Miss Mable and sister Mrs. Robert Gardner in this city.

 

O. Steenison of Vernon Co., has accepted the position of stage driver for J. E. Peaslee in place of Lawrence Leiser who resigned Saturday night.

 

Leslie and Nellie Williams of Tornab, came Friday to visit their aunt, Mrs. C. M. Christiansen. The former left Monday but the latter will remain indefinitely.

 

The young people of this city who are fond of dancing are largely advertising the dance to be given here December 5th by the Marine Harp Orchestra of Baraboo.

 

The following young folks who are attending normal at Stevens Point will spend Thanksgiving at their home in this city: Nona Unell, Mable Mitchell, Eva Peart and Ervin Peart.

 

Robert Houston returned last Wednesday from Oregon where be has been employed for the past four years. Rob reports that the mills and other business places are closing down on the coast and hard times are feared there. He will spend a month or more with his parents before returning.

 

Mrs. Tyler died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs, Richardson, after an illness lasting one week. Bronchial pneumonia was the immediate cause of her death but her health had been failing during the past year and when this disease attacked her she had not strength enough to cast it off. "Grandma" Tyler was eighty-seven years old in June and for many years had lived with her daughter. She led a devoted Christian life and passed scores ,of warm friends who will miss her as well as her immediate family. She is survived by two children, Araanda Richardson of Spencer and Amos Tyler of Bayfield. and a step son, Damon Tyler, of Salem South Dakota. Her son' arrived Sunday noon in response to telegram but too late to see his mother alive. Funeral services were held at the house Monday afternoon, Rev. Christiansen officiating and the body was taken to Kilbourn Tuesday and laid beside that of her husband. Beautiful floral offerings were contributed by the W. C. T. U. and the Epworth League- The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of their many friends.
