Henry Kantzer Sundayed at Marshfield despite the bad roads, but we all know why.
Laura Pennabecker was confined to the house for the past three weeks from a severe injury she sustained to one of her limbs.
John Juneman has been ill for the past few weeks, with a severe attack of the mumps. We all hope he will soon change for the better.
The Misses Emma and Irene Monickle and also Miss Carrie Reerborn Sundayed at home, returning to Marshfield in the evening.
Joe Kautzer is entertaining the people of this place with the new graphophone which he secured as a premium from Tiffault-Kamps of Marshfield. Just the thing for Joe.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bragdon, who have been visiting with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Zopfi, for the past few months, returned to their home in Fond du Lac last week.
Mrs. Charlie Walner who has been at the Marshfield hospital for the past three weeks, returned home last Thursday. She has nearly recovered from the operation that was performed on her.
The dance at this place last Saturday was well attended. Who says the young folks here do not enjoy themselves. !t really seems pleasant to see them all get together and have a jolly good time.
Rumors say that Staadt is soon to have a store with a first class business man at the head of it who contemplates buying everything the farmer has to sell. This will certainly be a great boon to the people of this vicinity.
Newmeier & Carl Bros, completed their winter's cutting of wood this week. They cut nearly 1200 cords of wood the last two winters on about 60 acres of land, which they contemplate turning into a farm as soon as possible.
G. Krauter is contemplating a trip to Washington about the first of March, where he will join his brother Fred and probably make his future home there. We all hope he will have success in his venture although we deeply regret having him leave our circle.
L. J. Beedon, Ashland, Wis., was struck on the point of the elbow by a bolt in a high speeded pulley, cutting off a piece of the bone and nearly severing a muscle. He kept the wound dressed with Cole's Carbolisalve and in two weeks he was at work again. Cole's Carbolisalve is the perfect cure for wounds and sores. 25 by R. J. Strauss.
