Schar, Patrick J. (17 Aug. 1962 – 26 Nov. 2008)

Patrick J. Schar, 46, of Marshfield, died Nov. 26, 2008, at his home with his family at his side. Patrick was under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice services.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Mon., Dec. 1, 2008, at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI).

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sun.and again from 9:30 a.m. until service time Mon., both at the funeral home.

Patrick J. Schar, 46, of Marshfield died Nov. 26, 2008, at his home with his family at his side. Patrick was under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice services.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Mon., Dec. 1, 2008, at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) with the Rev. Charles D. Stoetzel officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with Josh, Jacob, William, Christopher and Brian Schar and Christopher Berg serving as the pallbearers. Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sun. at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) and again on Mon. from 9:30 a.m. until  time of the services.

Patrick was born Aug. 17, 1962, in Marshfield to Wesley and Lorraine (Eckes) Schar. He was a 1980 graduate of Marshfield High School.

Pat was united in marriage to Debra J. Berg on April 29, 2000, at St. John's Catholic Church. He was a Private First Class in the Army National Guard of Wisconsin, being honorably discharged on Dec. 1, 1985.

Pat worked as an electrician at Wick Building Systems for 25 years and retired because of ill health.

He enjoyed shooting pool, woodworking and hunting with his family. He loved making furniture.

He is survived by his parents, Wesley and Lorraine Schar of Marshfield; wife, Debra, and their children Chad (Jessica) Berg of Bozeman, Mont.; Joshua (Bloncia) Berg of Pittsville and four grandchildren, Avery and Carter Berg and Bradley and Nevaeh Berg. He is further survived by five brothers, Art (Sharon) Schar of Marshfield, Tom (Sue) Schar of Marshfield, Terry (Sally) Schar of Lakeville, Minn., Michael (Peggy) Schar of Marshfield, Wayne (Debra) Schar of Arpin; three sisters, Shirley (Mike) DuPee of Arpin, Cheryl (Tom) Casper of Wisconsin Rapids and Cindy (Rick) Renneck of Lindsey, along with many nieces and nephews.

Patrick was preceded in death by a nephew, Ben Schar, in 1998.
