Yaeger, Virginia M. (29 July 1922 – 27 Dec. 2008)

Virginia M. "Ginny" Yaeger, 86, of Marshfield, died Sat. Dec. 27, 2008, at the Bethel Center in Arpin. She was under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice Services.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tues., December 30, at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI), with the Rev. Charles Stoetzel officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Tues. until time of the services at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI).

Virginia was born in Marshfield on July 29, 1922, to Leo and Ella (Holtz) Brickheimer. She was educated at Saint John's Parochial School and graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in May 1940.

Ginny was united in marriage to Clifford W. Yaeger on June 26, 1947, in Marshfield. Clifford died October 7, 1994.

Ginny worked at the Purdy Junior High School for several years until leaving to raise her family. She later began working at JCPenney in the catalog department and then returned to work at the new Marshfield Senior High School. She finished her working career at Figi's, working seasonally and did numerous volunteer works at Saint John's, where she was a lifetime member, and St. Vincent DePaul Store.

Ginny was an avid traveler in her retirement, traveling throughout the United States and parts of Canada and Mexico. She truly enjoyed hosting family holiday feasts. Virginia cherished her northside home and neighborhood where she lived her whole life.

She is survived by her children Jeanne (Dennis) Mader of Marshfield and Jim (Jane) Yaeger of Marshfield; two grandchildren Heidi (Dale) Newman of Aurora, Colo., and Lindsay Mader of Marshfield. She is further survived by two sisters Marie Aigner of Marshfield and Janet (Harold) Brantstiter of Rockford, Ill., and a brother Kenneth (Iris) Brickheimer of Butternut. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
