(12 Mar. 1934 – 2 Jan. 2009) Jerome P. "Jerry" Daniels, 74, Platteville, died Fri., Jan. 2, 2009, at Southwest Health Center Hospital in Platteville. Funeral services were held Mon., Jan. 5, 2009, at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Platteville. The Rev. Charles Schluter will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Platteville. The Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home in Platteville assisted the family. Jerry was born March 12, 1934, in Greensburg, Pa., and was the son of Frank and Pearl (Sowers) Daniels. He was united in marriage to Annette "Nancy" Schmidt on June 10, 1961, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. Jerry is survived by his wife Nancy of Platteville; four children: Diana (Jeffrey) Kuhrt of New Berlin, Michael (Lizla) Daniels of Lisle, Ill. Patrick (Corrine) Daniels of Juda, and Barbara (Robin) Daniels of Windsor, England; sister Patricia (James) McFadden of LaGrange, Ind.; nephews and nieces, Steve McFadden, Beverly McFadden, Rebecca Ellis, Martha Hampel, and Hugh McFadden; sisters-in-law, Linda (Robert) Brandl of Wisconsin Rapids, Kristine (Everett) Kissinger of Petersburg, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Marilyn Jean.
