| FIRST MARSHFIELD GRADUATING CLASS--The class of 1889 was the
first to graduate from High School in Marshfield and posed for this
picture at the time of commencement. This class completed its
three-year course of study in the old Washington School. Left
to right are: Dora Olin (Mrs. C. A. Nichoalds, Denver Colorado),
deceased; Bessie Hatteberg (Mrs. Millard Smith, Mosinee), deceased;
Joseph Stierle, who now lives at 308 S. Maple Street, Marshfield;
Herbert Brooks, Olympia, Wash., deceased; Klara Hatteberg (Mrs. John
Ebbe), who is living in Trenton, Mo.; Frank Hinman, deceased; and
May Robinson, whose whereabouts are not known. This engraving
was made from an original photograph of the the group loaned the
