Neillsville’s Calvary Lutheran Church now has a new baby grand piano after fundraising efforts began September 2008.

The piano was delivered to Calvary Lutheran Church Thursday, June 11.  Sandy Thoma, church secretary headed up cookbook sales totaling $4,100.

The Buy a Key fundraiser allowed individuals to purchase a “key” on a faux keyboard for $88 with proceeds used to purchase the piano.

The fundraiser brought in $5,800 for the piano; the remaining funds were raised through general donations. The congregation purchased the baby grand May 18.  Calvary Lutheran Church will hold a concert July 12, at 7 p.m., featuring Aaron and Marta Knodle, James Voss and church organists.
