NHS Class of 1940 at Reunion Sunday

 

Forty-nine members here – Geraldine Herian honored for the largest family –

 

The Neillsville High School Class of 1940 met at the Silver Dome Supper Club for dinner on Sunday evening, July 2.  There were 49 present.  Prior to the dinner the group conducted a tour of the new high school by the caretaker, Art Flynn.

 

After the dinner a meeting was held and it was agreed to hold another reunion in five years.  Roll call was taken and members of the class answered by telling what they had been doing in the last 15 years.

 

Prizes were given to Herbert Aspen for traveling the longest distance; Geraldine Herian for the largest family; Wayne Palmer for having the youngest child; Allen Linster the most recently married.

Barkley, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne B. Palmer, Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Aspen, Mt. Prospect, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Beyer, Mineral Point; Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Doudna, Gillingham, Wis.; Hattie Winton, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Basil Schmidt, East Troy, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mortimer, Oregon, Ill; and Arthur Murphy, Greenwood.
