Thorp 2006 #15 The Main address was given by American Legion State Vice Commander, Don Schindler, who told the mythical story of "Taps". Thorp 2006 #30 History Buff, Carol Mitte, spoke of her own Civil War ancestor, Sylvanus Warner.

Thorp 2006 #18 The Cannon used by the Re-Enactors Thopr 2006 #10 Re-Enactors Fired the Cannon which actually shook the ground all 3 times it was shot. Thorp 2006 #21 Anyone in Thorp who wasn't at the event most certainly knew we were! Afterwards, children scrambled to retrieve shells from the firing of the muskets.
