• Holz, Ernest Fred (5 Oct. 1895 - 21 Apr. 1945)--128 INF. 32nd Div., Ernest (aka "Fritz") Holtz served 22 months with the US Army as a private.  He was the holder of a purple heart.

Leimin, Tracey Greene, Billy & Fred Pacholke and Jack Ley, all of Colby.  He was stationed for a time in Waco, TX;
