picIf you are looking for a weekend of ethnic food, sports, music and fireworks, Lublin is the place to be Friday through Sunday, July 27-29, 2007 as Lublin celebrates its 2007 Lublin Days.
 
Friday kicks off with softball games, which continue throughout the weekend.  Saturday morning brings the ever so popular Legion steak and egg breakfast from 8 a.m.-?  Be sure to come hungry!  Volleyball will begin at 9 a.m. and will go on throughout the day.  A veterans’ ride, sponsored by American Legion Post 547 and ABATE of Clark and Taylor Counties, will be held beginning with a bike blessing at 10:45 a.m. and the riders will then leave from Lublin at 11:00 a.m. traveling approximately 75 miles.  Price and Princess Lublin will be crowned at 3:00 p.m.  Music, provided by Joanne Jacks, will be held at the pavilion from 206:00 p.m.  There is no cover charge.  Those looking to satisfy their hunger will find content in ethnic food consisting of pierogi, golompki, sausage and kraut that will be served from 4:30 p.m.-?  Fireworks will light up the sky at dusk.  DJ Former Dr. J and Company will provide musical entertainment after the ball games.
 
Sunday brings the EMT booth information center, and a scrumptious chicken dinner served from 10:30 a.m.-?  The Lublin Days parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. with line up at the feed mill at 11 a.m.   Also beginning at 1:00 p.m. will the ever-popular lawnmower races held at Church and North Streets.  Following the parade, locomotive rides will be available and visitors will be able to dance to the Polish music of “Cynor Classics” from 2-6 p.m.
 If you and your family are looking for some excitement; the weekend of July 27-29, Lublin is the place to be.
