Drive One Today of Thorp
, located at 201 East Hill Street (next to Courtesy Ford on Hwy 29), opened this past autumn on October 1, 2007.  Auto sales, though, has been in the Burzynski family for over 55 years.

The owner, Kevin Burzynski, recently bought the family business, formerly Bern’s Sales, from his father, as Kevin’s mother, Darlene, is the receptionist and his father is on the sales team, the new business maintains its family roots and possesses a solid foundation strengthened by years of experience.

The beginning of the Burzynski family’s history in auto sales dates back to 1952 when Darlene’s father, Frank Winarczyk, purchased the Ford dealership and renamed it Thorp Sales and Service, presently Courtesy Ford.  Over the course of years, Bern later started his own auto business, Bern’s Sales, and carried on with the trade.  Now, with Kevin at the wheel, the family legacy continues to thrive and to live on.

Along with Bern’s expertise and Kevin’s knowledge in the trade, general manager Chad Hauser also brings with him years of experience.  Before moving to Thorp 11 years ago, Hauser had worked at Corner Motors in Cadott for 11 years.  “We are very proud to have him on our team,” said Kevin.

Drive One Today of Thorp offers many services to its customers, such as financing (using eight different bank options), a wide variety of used cars and trucks including programmed and same year vehicles with low miles, warranties and extended warranties, and repair and maintenance.

Their other locations include Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire, so if you vehicle cannot be repaired here, they take it to the main shop in Eau Claire and provide you with a loaner while your vehicle is being serviced.  If a vehicle you’re looking for is not on the lot, the Thorp sales team offers to find it for you.  Most vehicles can be found in a matter of days.  Hauser describes, “If we don’t have it, we’ll find it.”

Some of the vehicles offered include both American makes, such as Ford, Dodge, and Chevy, as well as a variety of foreign brands, such as BMW, SAAB, Nissan, and Toyota, to name a few.  According to Hauser, they can find almost any brand that you prefer if it’s not already on the lot.

The award-winning customer service team enjoys working with, talking about, and driving cards.  “We always think of the fun factor and quality when choosing what vehicles best fit our dealership,” said Kevin.

They invite you to come visit them and to discover all they have to offer.  Their hours are as follows: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. or by appointment.  If you have any questions about vehicles that are listed on their website (www.driveonetoday.com) or would like information on other vehicles, you can contact them at (715) 669-5555
