On Wednesday, May 12, 2010, Pat Nowak, representative for the June Dairy Days Committee, accepted a check for $300 from United FCS to be put towards the Camo Quilt project.  Last month, the Dairy Days Committee sent out letters to Thorp businesses, challenging them to donate $100 for the Camo Quilt project.  After finishing their gift boxes for servicemen project, where United FCS sent out 25 boxes of collected items, the local business donated the remaining funds of $300 towards the Camo Quilts.  Costing approximately $20 per quilt to make, United FCS donation will fund the production of 15 quilts.
