picOn Thursday, July 29, 27 McDonald’s stores from around the Central Wisconsin area hosted the ultimate scavenger hunt with a sweet reward as a way to mark the debut of their new line of McCafé real fruit smoothies.

Early Thursday morning, Michael Allanson, manager of the Thorp McDonald’s placed a three-foot smoothie cup somewhere around the city.  To the person who discovered the oversized cup, went a year’s worth of free real fruit smoothies.

It was Michael Kodl of Thorp who discovered the three-foot cup beside the bench across the street from the Thorp Public Library on South Conway Street early Thursday morning.  Kodl then hauled the smoothie cup back to McDonald’s to redeem his prize, a year’s worth of free smoothies.

“The McCafé real fruit smoothies are an absolute hit with our customers and we’re excited to conduct this fun scavenger hunt,” said Paul Webb, local McDonald’s Owner/Operator.  “We always want to meet our customers’ expectations and provide the service, convenience, and value they expect when visiting McDonald’s.”
