Greetings to Thorp Alumni

JACK TETZNER COURT

This Saturday, November 25, 2006, the basketball court at Thorp High School will be named the JACK TETZNER Court. The dedication will take place following the junior varsity boys basketball game, and before the varsity game against Chippewa Falls McDonell.

From 1954 – 1988, hundred of players were on Coach Tetzner’s teams at Thorp High School. Those players and their families have been invited to the dedication. A social will follow.

The alumni players are donating money to pay for a large plaque to be hung in Coach Tetzner’s memory in the multi-purpose room at the high school. If any of the readers would like to donate toward this cause, please send your donation to:

ANNIVERSARY CLASSES IN 2007 ….. It’s not too early to start planning for your class reunion. Here is a list of the anniversary classes for 2007:

REMINDER

Each year the Thorp Alumni Association presents scholarships to graduating seniors of Thorp High School who plan to pursue advanced education. Five $500 scholarships are presented in May at the senior awards night at the high school. The TAA Scholarship Fund depends on the donations of Thorp alumni. In addition, if there are those who would like to contribute, but are not Thorp alums; you are welcome to do so. Simply send you donation to the TAA Scholarship Fund at the address listed above.

2007 ALL-THORP REUNION

The 2007 All-Thorp Reunion will be held the weekend of July 6th – 8th. The memorabilia display will again be held in the multi-purpose room at the high school on Friday and Saturday, July 6th and 7th. The alumni social hour will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, and the dinner will be at 5:00, followed by, the alumni program. All alumni will receive reservation forms early in 2007.
