Pineland Corners – A short while ago a rather exciting incident occurred in this rather quiet country. A team of horses ran away late in the afternoon from Petrulis at the time the youngsters in 1st and 2nd grade were going home from school. The children that were in back saw the team was driverless and called to those ahead to stop them. The young Wechlacz twins quickly got into action.  With one on each side, one grabbed a rope that was hanging from the bridle and therewith stopped the horses. Edwin Filipek promptly jumped on the sleigh and secured the lines until the owner, Frank Kurtz, came up.  The boys are only about eight years old and really deserve high commendation for their courageous action.
