Way Back When

 The Thorp Courier   --  April 12, 2006

Here’s a group of six happy little girls, presumably at a birthday party.  Their locks are curled just right, their little smocked dresses are carefully ironed, and their pleated little skirts are perfectly smoothed. They are likely all wearing either white turn-down anklets or those new-fangled knee socks.

Just who are these little sweeties, and when was this photograph taken?  What are these girls doing today, now that they’re middle-aged (and beyond?).

For more information on this week's photo (above), check next week's column.

Last Week's Photo

Francis Neis called in to identify a couple of the old store fronts from last week’s photograph.  One of the stores was called the Company Store, and another was referred to as Connor’s Saloon, which later became People’s State Bank.
