Esther Bradbury

wpe17.gif (9115 bytes)Esther (nee Rounseville) Bradbury was the mother of Aura (nee Bradbury) Benedict, wife of Nyle Benedict who was a great-grandson of Adonijah Benedict, a pioneer of York Township and Civil War veteran.  Esther Bradbury was a daughter of Samuel Rounseville and was born in Sheboygan County.  She, her husband, Frank, and daughter, Aura originally came to York Township in the late 1920s to help her older brother, S. Wallace Rounseville, who owned a farm in Section 22.[i]  He is also buried in York Center Cemetery.  At one time, his farm had also been owned by Elmer Dennis[ii].  Several of Elmer Dennis’ children are also buried in York Center Cemetery.
