May 5, 1864 - May 24, 1939

Born in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, a son of Antone and Mary (nee Bayer) Buddinger,[i] Charles Buddinger was an early resident of York Township.  Both his parents were German immigrants.  He was the husband of the former Emma Fischer and a brother to Peter Buddinger.  He married Emma Fischer in Green Bay, Wisconsin on August 29, 1891.  They moved to Clark County in 1895.  A plat map from 1906 shows that he owned land in Section 17.  A plat map from the 1920s indicates that he owned land in Section 29.  Emma Buddinger died in 1907.  Charles Buddinger then married the former Minnie Crossett in 1909.  The children of Charles and Minnie Buddinger include:  Carl Buddinger, Beatrice (Mrs. Anthony Walter, Sr.) and Bernice Buddinger.  Carl Buddinger’s wife, Velma, was a stepdaughter to Newell Turner.   Newell Turner is also buried at York Center Cemetery.
