Jasper Harvey Fisher

October 12, 1821 - February 5, 1905

Born in New York State as a son to Israel and Maria Fisher, Jasper Fisher was an early pioneer of York Township.  The 1880 and 1893 York Township plat maps show a J. Fisher owning 40 acres in Section 22.  Records show the same farm was later owned by Julius Voight (Ed Voight’s father).  Similarly, the 1880 Federal Census for York Township shows a J. H. Fisher living with his wife, Adaline (49) and two daughters, Florence (12) and Allie (6).  Early church records show that Florence Fisher married Wesley Bolton on January 29, 1888 and Allie M. Fisher married Leslie W. Mack on December 6, 1891; both marriages taking place at York Center Methodist Church.  J.H. Fisher died in Loyal, Wisconsin where he was living at the time.
