Sadie Garvin

April 20, 1884 - November 6, 1884

The names of both Louis A. and Sadie Garvin are on one grave stone located on a plot owned by William Garvin; an early pioneer of York Township.  Therefore, it is believed that they are descendants (probably grandchildren) of the William and Sarah Garvin.  Per information from one of William Garvin’s descendants, Jane (nee Smith) Bertz, Sadie Garvin was a daughter of William (Jr.) and Annie (nee McKenzie) Garvin.  Annie McKenzie was a daughter of two other York Center pioneers, David and Roseann (nee Ferris) McKenzie.  David and Roseann McKenzie are also buried at York Center Cemetery.[i]
