Lewis Graves

September 24, 1822 - March 22, 1910

Born in Otisco, Onondago County, New York, Lewis Graves was the father of Hubert G. Graves, an early resident of Clark County.  In New York State, he had a farmer and county sheriff.  In 1899, he moved to Calumet County, Wisconsin to live with his son Hubert and his family.  Later in 1901 when the Hubert Graves family relocated to Clark County; Lewis Graves went with them.  Lewis then lived in York Township until his death.  The 1906 Clark County Census lists a Lewis Graves living in York Township.
