Martha Graves

January 20, 1860 - October 22, 1922

wpe11.gif (11054 bytes)A daughter of Ed and Frances (nee Holmes) Gibson, Martha (nee Gibson) was an early resident of York Township.  As such she was probably a sister to Emma Root (George Root's wife) and Hannah Graves (Walter Grave's wife) and Herbert Gibson (Maud Humiston's husband); all of whom are buried in York Center Cemetery.  Clark County records indicate that at the time she of her death, Martha Graves was the widow of Walter Graves.[i] Therefore, it is believed she was the second wife of Walter Graves.
