Olive Humiston

February 22, 1880 - July 13, 1896

Olive Humiston was born in York Township.  She was a daughter of Jesse and Lustina (nee Crossett) Humiston, per the 1880 Federal Census for Clark County, which shows an Olive Humiston living in York Township as a 3-month-old daughter of J. Humiston.  Jesse Humiston was pioneer of York Township and a Civil War veteran who owned a small farm in Section 29.  As a daughter of Jesse Humiston, she was then also a sister to Maude Humiston, whose husband, Herbert F. Gibson, is also buried at York Center Cemetery.  Olive Humiston died as a young girl of tuberculosis (consumption).
