Sarah Lawrence

March 10, 1840 - November 28, 1928

wpe22.gif (8699 bytes)Sarah (nee Lawrence) Lindsley was the daughter of Jesse and Almeda (nee Benedict) Lawrence, who were pioneers of York Township.  As such, she also a sister to Horace A. Lawrence, Zelina Rowe, and Irvin Lawrence, all whom are buried in York Center Cemetery.  She was the wife of George Lindsley. George and Sarah Lindsley came to York Township in 1880.  Their children were Eugene Lindsley, Ernest Lindsley (who married Ella Livingston) and Harriet (Hattie) Turner.
