Jane Palmer

July 10, 1848 - April 10, 1892

wpe1.gif (6114 bytes)Jane (nee Windsor) Palmer was the wife of Joseph S. Palmer.  She was also the daughter of Anson Windsor, a pioneer of York Township.  As such, she was a sister to Sophronia Lawrence/Bassett (who was a sister-in-law to Jesse Lawrence), Esther Livingston, and Lorinda Lawrence (who was Horace A. Lawrence’s first wife).  An 1893 plat map shows a J. S. Palmer owning 80 acres of land in Section 9 where the Palmer (or later known as the Lincoln) grade school was located.
