Joseph Rondorf

August 17, 1855 - January 8, 1939

Joseph Rondorf was an early settler of York Township.  He was born in Dane County, a son of Hilarious and Anna Marie (nee Schell) Rondorf.[i]  An 1893 plat map of York Township shows a J. Rondorf owning 80 acres of land in Section 16.(which was later owned by Anthony Schecklman).  They homesteaded that farm, cleared the land and built all the buildings just south of the cheese factory on County Highway K across the road from the "Herb Free" farm.[ii]
