Harriet Turner

January 13, 1879 - February 6, 1954

wpe5.gif (9224 bytes)Harriet “Hattie” (nee Lindsley) Turner was a daughter of George and Sarah (nee Lawrence) Lindsley.  Sarah Lindsley was a daughter of Jesse and Almeda (nee Benedict) Lawrence, early pioneers of York Township.  She was also a sister to Ernest Lindsley whose wife was the former Ella Livingston, a daughter of Sam and Esther (nee Windsor) Livingston, other early pioneers of York.  Ernest and Ella Lindsley’s son, Dean Lindsley is also buried in York Center Cemetery.  Hattie Lindsley married Abie Turner, a son of Abel and Arvilla (nee Thompson) Turner, York Township pioneers.  Several of Abie and Hattie Turner’s children have cemetery plots in York Center Cemetery:  Grant Turner, Price Turner, George Turner, Birdeen Turner, Clayton Turner, Myron Turner and Harriet Triska.
