Hilda Vandeberg

January 10, 1908 - April 14, 1959

Hilda (nee Edens) Vandeberg was a daughter of William H. and E. Katherine Edens, who were early pioneers of York Township.  She married Irvin Vandeberg, a son of Abram and Lois (nee Lawrence) Vandeberg.  Abram Vandeberg was an earlier settler of York Township.  Lois Vandeberg was a daughter of Horace A. and Edna (nee) Smithers Lawrence, who were pioneers of York Township. Horace A. Lawrence was a son of Jesse and Almeda (nee Benedict) Lawrence, who were also York pioneers.  Edna Lawrence was a daughter of William and Lois (nee Knight) Smithers, who came to York Township in the 1880s.  Several of her siblings: Erna Edens, Wera Kier, and Hans Edens are also buried in York Center Cemetery.  Hilda’s grandson, Dennis Richmond is also buried in York Center Cemetery.
