Ruby Voight

September 21-22, 1923

Ruby Voight was a daughter of Edward and Ida (nee Vandeberg) Voight.  Edward Voight was a son of Julius and Caroline Voight, who were early settlers of York Township.  Ida Voight was a daughter of John and Lillian (nee Lawrence) Vandeberg. Lillian Vandeberg was a daughter of Horace A. Lawrence, an early York Township pioneer and Civil War veteran, and his first wife, the former Lorinda Windsor (a daughter of Anson Windsor, another York pioneer).  Horace Lawrence was a son of Jesse and Almeda (nee Benedict) Lawrence, who also came to York Township circa 1875.  A brother of Ruby's, Lyle Voight, is also buried in York Center Cemetery.
