FERRYVILLE.

    George Trayer was down from LaCrosse a few days the past week the guest of his sister, Mrs. George Harne.
    Inez Johnston was in Prairie du Chien last week having dental work done.
    Tuesday evening a party of friends assembled at the L. Cass home. The evening was spent in playing progressive cinch, after which dainty refreshments were served.
    J. D. Lough, who is attending high school in Prairie du Chien, was a guest of home folks over Sunday and attended the funeral of George Lawrence on Monday.
    Frank R. Garvey, our local banker, spent Sunday with relatives at Seneca.
    Henry and Sidney Austin, Fay Copsey and Bernard Yackley were visitors in LaCrosse Sunday.
    Leif Cass moved his family and household goods to Laudville, Iowa, where they will make their future home. Mr. Cass will have charge of a creamery at that place.
    Rose M. Burrel of Prairie du Chien was a guest of Mrs. Martha Thompson a few days the past week.
    Mrs. Robertson and daughter Nona visited relatives and friends at Victory, Wis., Saturday and Sunday.
    Mr. Kalvestran of Gays Mills was in the city on business Saturday.


Feb. 9, 1915

FERRYVILLE.

    George Horne and daughters Lydia and Irene went to LaCrosse Sunday, returning Monday. They were accompanied home by Geo. Grayer of LaCrosse.
    Mrs. Matt Johnson and little daughter Emily left for Manchester, Ia. Wednesday to visit relatives for a couple of weeks.
    Miss Effie Devine who teachers Boma school was able to resume her school duties Monday after an enforced vacation on account of illness.
    Henry Austin, Sidney Austin, Bernard Yackley, Fay Copsey, Ranus Rutter drove to Lynxville Wednesday evening to attend a dance. They reported a splendid time.
    Martha Mehnert and Marie L. Cherrier our local teachers dismissed school on Tuesday and attended the School Board Convention held at Wauzeka that day.
    The program rendered by the eight grade pupils last Friday afternoon was a success. Several outsiders were present and all are looking for another entertainment in the future.
    M. W. Runice and family spent the first part of last week in the country at the Chris Thompson home, returning home Friday.
    Ed Anderson took his little son Everette to LaCrosse Tuesday to have some dental work done.
    Mrs. Myron Diedricht and son of Victory were guests of Mrs. W. T. Robertson Friday and Saturday.
    The R. N. A. have rented rooms of Mrs. Martha Thompson and will conduct all meetings there after this. They met at the home of Mrs. Tom Lattimore on last Friday.
    Bertha and Frieda Koch were callers in LaCrosse Sunday returning Monday noon.
    Eugene Tully of Rising Sunday transacted business here on Friday last.
    Mrs. Geo. Diedricht is on the sick list.
    Tim Connelly of Gays Mills was a business caller here on Friday.
    Miss Irene Young of Boscobel is a guest at the C. Lawrence home.
    Archie Thompson, nine year old son of Chris Thompson is recovering from a severe attack of pneumonia.
    County Clerk Slettmark of Prairie du Chien spend Sunday with home folks.
    B. Stovey made a business trip to Lynxville Saturday noon.
    Jim Finley went to LaCrosse where he will undergo an operation. Later reports from St. Frances hospital are that he is progressing nicely.
    James McNamara of Seneca and Nora Lucy of Rising Sun were married last Tuesday at St. James Catholic church and left for a trip to Chicago and other eastern cities the following day.
    Mr. and Mrs. Albert Eitsert of Freeport, Ill. were visitors at Frank Eitserts home last week.
    Miss Frieda Randall who teaches in district No. 10 spent Sunday with her parents at Lynxville.
