Amelse-Duerkop

Connie Amelse and Andrew Duerkop were married Aug. 26, 2006, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Irma. Rev. Hans-Juergen Heisinger officiated at the afternoon ceremony where music was provided by organist Kelley Natzke and soloist Lisa Amelse.

The bride is the daughter of George and Linda Amelse, Irma. The groom is the son of Richard and Valerie Duerkop, Rothschild.

Maid of honor was Dar Amelse, sister of the bride, Fond du Lac, and Erik Van Vuren, Chicago, Ill., was best man.

Bridesmaids included Lisa Amelse, sister of the bride, Merrill; Tammy Amelse, sister-in-law of the bride, Merrill; and Angela Duerkop, sister of the groom, Eau Claire. Serving as groomsmen were Blaine Spangler, Kenosha; Tony Pahula, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Tony Duerkop, brother of the groom, Milwaukee.

Ushers were Eric Amelse, brother of the bride, Merrill; and John Doan, Los Angeles, Calif.

A reception was held at Dale's Weston Lanes, Weston.

Connie is employed at Lincoln Wood Products, Merrill. Andrew is employed at BP Communications, Merrill. The pair lives in Merrill.
