Deborah Bowers Scott, Elkhorn, and Dewane Herdt, Slinger, were united in matrimony on June 17, 2006, at Southern Lakes Evangelical Church, Elkhorn. Rev. Sean Sweetman officiated.

The bride is the daughter of John and Norma Bowers, Elkhorn. The groom is the son of Ervin and the late Bernice Herdt, Merrill.

Matron of honor was Brooke Terlunen, daughter of the bride, Elkhorn; and Allen Herdt, brother of the groom, Milwaukee, was best man.

Bridesmaids were the bride's daughters Jacqueline Scott, Milwaukee, and Amaryllis Scott, Elkhorn. Flower girl was Contessa Bowers, the bride's niece, Plano, Ill.

Acting as groomsmen were Jeffrey Herdt, brother of the groom, Germantown; and Soamesh Mangalgiri, Waukesha. Ring bearers were the groom's sons Nicholas and Nathan Thorson, both of Milwaukee.

Ushers were the bride's brothers, John Bowers, Plano, Ill.; and David Bowers, Montgomery, Ill.

A reception was held at Eagle Village Park in Eagle. The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas, Nev.

Deborah is a graduate of College of DuPage, Glenn Ellyn, Ill., with an associates of applied science degree. She is currently attending Gateway Technical School in Burlington pursuing a registered nursing degree. She is a medical assistant, radiologic technician at Burlington Clinic in Burlington. Dewane is a graduate of North Central Technical Institute, Wausau, with a certificate of mechanical drafting. He is currently attending Waukesha Technical College pursuing an architectural drafting/construction technology degree. He is a customer service technician with KHS-USA, Waukesha.

The couple resides in Elkhorn.
