Marion Comeau

Marion Comeau, 83, of Merrill, died Friday, April 6, 2007, in La Jolla, Calif.

Services are tentatively scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill. Visitation will be tonight, Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. A complete obituary will be published in next week's Foto News.

Marion J. Comeau

Marion J. Comeau, 83, of Merrill, passed away Friday, April 6, 2007, at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla, Calif.

Born in Merrill on April 19, 1924, Marion was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Florence Richards Styza. She was married to William Comeau on Dec. 4, 1945, by Rev. Fr. McDermutt at Our Lady of Peace Church in Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death in 2000.

Marion was a dedicated homemaker and mother for 62 years. She and her husband enjoyed playing golf and traveling throughout the country after his retirement. After the death of her husband, Marion performed many hours of volunteer service at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill and enjoyed meals out with her circle of friends. She is now free to be with Bill again.

She is survived by her son James (Carole), Escondido, Calif.; grandchildren Jessica and Eva; sister-in-law Marie Joyce Comeau, Madison; brother Craig Styza, Milwaukee; and cousin James Styza, Merrill.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill. Rev. James Horath will officiate. Entombment will be in Merrill Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call this evening, Wednesday, April 18, 4-8 p.m. and again Thursday morning, 10-11 a.m., at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill.
