Edward R. Tesch

Edward R. Tesch, 75, of 340 Eighth St. South, Wisconsin Rapids, died Friday, April 13, 2007, at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids.

Ed was born in Gleason on Oct. 15, 1931, to William and Alvina Hintze Tesch. He married Lorraine Reinke on Aug. 28, 1954, in Merrill.

Ed was a heavy equipment operator for Operators Local 139 and retired in May 1994. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 -1953. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids, where he served as an usher, and was also a member of American Legion Post 485 in Rudolph.

Survivors include Lorraine, his wife of 52 years; son Scott (Paula), Wisconsin Rapids; and grandsons Cody and Tyler Tesch. Also surviving are brothers Gary (Susie), Gleason; Harold (Phyllis) and Alvin, both of Tomahawk; and Neal (Sally), Merrill; sisters Carol (Emil) Rosenau, Merrill; Florine (Vince) Ingaill, Pewaukee; Darlene (Floyd) Albright, Gleason; and Janet Tesch, Merrill; sister-in-law Mary Tesch, Port Edwards; and Florence Tesch, Aurora, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Hilbert; sisters Helen Tesch and Hazel Raatz; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Monday, April 16, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. John Grohs and Lay Minister William Loock officiated. Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids handled the arrangements.
