Dawn M. Leistikow

Dawn M. Leistikow, 59, of N1135 Leafy Grove Rd., Merrill, town of Corning, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Dawn was born March 23, 1948, in Merrill, daughter of Mary Billington Hulke and the late Walter A. Hulke. She married Clarence Leistikow Jr. on Dec. 9, 1972, in Gleason. He survives.

Dawn was a certified nursing assistant at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Dawn enjoyed knitting, reading and gardening. She was a "Friend of the Library" and she volunteered at church. Dawn adored her grandchildren and enjoyed every moment she spent with them.

Survivors besides her husband Clarence, Merrill; and mother Mary Hulke, Merrill; include sons Troy and Cory (Nora), both of Merrill; grandchildren Matthew, Dominic and Tyler Leistikow; sisters Diane (Allan) Nass, Weston; and Mary (Gary) Schwartz, Merrill; and brother Ernest (Sandy) Hulke, Merrill. She was preceded in death by her father Walter A. Hulke, and her father- and mother-in-law Clarence and Minnie Leistikow.

Funeral services were Friday, April 13, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. David Klemm officiated. Burial was in Merrill Memorial Park. The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, served the family.
