Richard L. Moser

Richard Lee Moser, 64, of Merrill, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Born May 12, 1942, in Ladysmith, Richard was the son of the late Gilbert and Irma Swoverland Moser. He married Loretta Klimek on July 14, 1989, in Merrill. She survives.

Richard was a graduate of Ladysmith High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Army and served from 1960 until 1963. Richard worked for Merrill Manufacturing Corp. for 35 years, where he worked in the press room. He retired in 2005. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was active in coaching Little League. He loved making model cars, airplanes and boats. Richard enjoyed reading, gardening and playing with his dog "Muffin." He and Loretta loved driving around the countryside viewing wildlife. Richard was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football and NASCAR on television. He was a Dale Earnhardt and Rusty Wallace fan.

Survivors include his wife Loretta, Merrill; step-son Daniel (Shannon) Winkelman, Juneau, Alaska; step-daughter Sherry (Diab) Winkelman-Jerius, Winchester, Mass.; brothers Keith, Conrath; and Kenneth (Mary), Ladysmith; and several nieces and nephews.

A memory sharing service was held Tuesday, April 17, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Family and friends performed the ceremony.
