Rita R. Starr

Rita R. Starr, 62, of 1116 Somo Ave., Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007, at Golden Living Center- Riverview in Tomahawk.

Rita was born Feb. 6, 1945, in Merrill, to Alex and Mildred Spears Boyd. She married Donald Starr on April 17, 1982, in Tomahawk.

Rita worked in the food service department at Lincoln Hills for many years, retiring in 2002. She loved the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and the time she spent at her winter home in Arkansas.

Survivors include her husband Donald, Tomahawk; children Carolyn (Jerry) Robl and Karen Zais, both of Merrill; Jeff (Laura), Sun Prairie; and Lynlee (Mike) Krummey, Saukville; grandchildren Jeffrey Butler Jr., Travis Kurth, Lcpl Ronald Butler, Ronnie Robl, Jenna Zais, Jarnee Robertson, Jacob and Jason Starr; and great-grandchild Christian Kurth. Also surviving are brothers Bill (Ceil) Boyd, Merrill; Dale (Sally) Boyd, Arkansas; Dean Boyd, Merrill; Harold Boyd, Illinois; and Gale Boyd, Madison; sister Bonny Boyd, Madison; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Lloyd Boyd.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, at the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home, Tomahawk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of services at 11 a.m.
